Iridium Fireplace

This fireplace is actually in our own home (Kristen Phillips). As soon as we saw the house for the first tinme we knew the front fireplace needed a mantle and also knew immediately that the Iridium would be a perfect fit.

My husband constructed the mantle from Oak and used crown molding. We picked Marigold 3 as the tile for the inlay. The Iridium is such a versatile tile. A lot of our furniture is cherry and the room is a lighter neutral decor. The Iridium has so may shades in it , it was the perfect bridge between the two color families. We grouted in a shade that blended into the background so the tile would pop. More pictures with a tutorial later.....
