Mosaic Tools - KPTiles recommends all these products for a variety of projects. We recommend the wheeeled glass nippers for most general mosaic projects. The wheeled nippers cut glass, ceramic, porcelain and much more. The traditional mosaic nippers can have more of a crumbling effect on tile. They are very useful to smooth out the peaks that the wheeled nippers create as the wheeled tile nippers tend to cut straight lines. Therefore, the mosaic nipper can do more contouring in our opinion.

For scoring and snapping, nothing beats a pistol grip cutter and running pliers. The pistol grip cutter does the best job scoring both glass and ceramic with its carbide tip. The Scorer/Breaker is a lower cost alternative to these two tools, but should not be used on glass and mirror. This makes the pistol grip cutter and running pliers a more versatile combination.

Breaker/Grozer Pliers Get double the use out of this handy tool. When glass can't be handled comfortably by hand, use the breaking pliers to break glass along score lines. Turn pliers over and use as grozers to nibble glass away from edges. The spring-loaded jaws work easily.
